Any advice?

Karen P

Hello to all!

My 23-year-old is heading off to college in a city that's an 11-hour drive from home. She has very few coping skills and no executive functioning skills, so she's relied heavily on me all of her life. She also has PTSD. She tried college in 2017 but had to come back home after one semester (she had spiraled down pretty quickly on campus). I'm thrilled that she feels ready to go, but I'm worried sick that she'll not be able to make it on her ownso far away from me. Does anyone have any helpful insights or advice? Thank you!
